The On Di Go’s for Christ Programme founded by JP A. Ricketts began in 2020 during the pandemic to support the elderly, sick, shut-ins, and children in the Islington community. With a focus on holistic care, it has quickly become a cornerstone of support for those in need.
There back-to-school event saw over 100 children and their parents receiving school supplies like cartridge paper, file jackets, pens, pencils, and rulers, along with a hearty meal, making it a memorable experience for all involved.
The programme’s success is powered by a dedicated team of local and overseas volunteers. As the only initiative in Islington consistently aiding both the elderly and children, it plays a vital role in the community.
Beyond back-to-school events, On Di Go’s for Christ regularly provides cooked meals, toiletries, and food packages. With the help of sponsors, they’ve also assisted with minor home repairs for elderly residents.
Driven by compassion, the programme continues to uplift the Islington community, providing practical help and fostering unity through the support of its volunteers and donors.
